Cheesecake Brownies

I made these brownies for Sunday dinner and they're melt-in-your-mouth good!

Cheesecake Brownies

1 (21-ounce) package fudge brownie mix
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
Chocolate frosting

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownie mix as package directs. Spread into well greased 13x9 baking pan.
2. In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and cornstarch until fluffy.
3. Gradually beat in condensed milk. Add egg and vanilla; beat until smooth. Pour cheesecake mixture evenly over brownie batter.
4. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Cool. Spread with frosting and cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator.

  1. Maren,
I'm beginning to see a pattern...I think you like Desserts! Yum! Atleast you can eat them and still stay slender. Not I! : ) I love your guys' recipes...keep 'em coming.

  2. Okay- I'll admit I do love desserts, but I HAVE been eating healthier lately and I think I feel less guilty about eating these sweets because most are from scratch so they have to be better for you right?- Maren
